Here are some of the ways to live in the Bahamas
Immigrants need to apply for a work permit with the Department of Immigration before they can live and work in the country for a period longer than 90 days. A number of documents must be submitted with the application; a letter from the future employer that states the position, duration of the contract and the reason for hiring a non-local and a certificate from the Department of Labour that states there is no Bahamian to fill the position.
When the application is submitted, immigrants must contact the Department of Immigration after three or four weeks for an update of the application process. The cost of the work permit is $100.
