You must apply for a visa before travelling to the country, which can be done at any British Embassy or High Commission Office. Once you’re in the country you can apply for a work permit at the Labor Department. Importantly, you must ensure you check the government’s website to see which documents you need to bring.
If your spouse is a citizen or permanent resident, you are eligible for Anguilla residency. If your spouse is an Anguilla citizen, you can apply for Anguilla citizenship after 3 years of marriage. Please note that your status of spouse needs to be legally recognized in this Anguilla.
There are two different work permits you can apply for; employee and self-employed. Getting an Anguilla work permit is easier for people whose profession is one that the country needs, like a teacher, nanny and medical. Alternatively, it helps if you have a job offer from a company and their support with the application for your Anguilla work permit.
Anguilla offers a simple Anguilla residency by Investment program to generate inward investment into the country and to attract high net-wealth individuals to boost the local economy.
If you invest more than USD$2,500,000 in a business in Anguilla, you can apply for permanent residency. After one year of permanent residency, you can apply for Anguilla citizenship.
Anguilla citizenship offers you an Anguilla passport. The Anguilla passport is a variety of United Kingdom (UK) Passport. While it does not offer exactly the same travel benefits it is still a powerful travel document.
If one or both of your parents held Anguilla citizenship when you were born, you are probably also are eligible for Anguilla citizenship.
